Description
INTRODUCTION
CAMYDA 300MG contains Clindamycin which belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics. It fights against bacteria and used in the treatment of severe bacterial infections. Clindamycin acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis which stops bacterial growth and prevents further spread of infection. It is not suitable for the treatment of brain infections because it cannot pass through your brain.
It can be taken either before or after a meal. Depending upon your age and health condition, your doctor will decide a suitable dose for you. Continue to take this medicine, as long as your doctor tells you to do so, to obtain better results. Patients receiving this medicine for a very long time should regularly undergo blood tests and/or liver and kidney functioning. Long-term use of this medicine may also cause certain other infections resistant to clindamycin. In such cases, please inform your doctor.
The most common side effects of this medicine are diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea and vomiting. Contact your doctor if any of the symptom bothers you. However, if you experience severe persistent bloody diarrhea following treatment with CAMYDA 300MG, contact your doctor immediately, as it could be a sign of bowel inflammation (pseudomembranous colitis). Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any serious kidney or liver disease. Proper dose adjustments and regular monitoring of amount of clindamycin in blood are required in such patients. It should be used with caution in pregnant women and in children. Consult your doctor before taking. It is not recommended for use in lactating mothers, because it may pass into breast milk.

HOW CAMYDA 300MG WORKS
