Description
INTRODUCTION
ACNEDAP GEL contain Dapsone which belongs to a group of medicine called antibacterials. It helps to treat acne in people 12 years and older. It works by stopping the production of folic acid in acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes), thereby stopping their growth. In addition, its anti-inflammatory effects help reduce redness and swelling due to acne.
Always use ACNEDAP GEL exactly as your doctor has told you. The common side effects are dryness, redness, oiliness, skin peeling, excessive tiredness. This medicine is strictly not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine.

HOW ACNEDAP GEL WORKS

Redness:
Cold water helps to bring the redness down. Apply aloe vera and cucumber to ease the redness.
PREGNANCY
ACNEDAP GEL should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking.
BREASTFEEDING
ACNEDAP GEL is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
ALLERGY
Do not use ACNEDAP GEL if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Dapsone or any other ingredients in this medicine.
OTHERS
Tell your doctor if you have or had a condition such as,
- Have a history of anemia or have been diagnosed with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
INTERACTIONS
Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Especially, tell your doctor if you are using any other topical medicines.
